Alarm monitoring: How much do you pay?

Have an alarm installed in my house but have never had it monitored.
Who do you recommend and whats the rate you pay?
Length of contract?
I don't have a phone line, so would need some type of cellular or internet monitoring service.
Who has decent service, low monthly cost, and won't rape me on the initial hookup?

I'm on the road often. If something happens, I'd rather know about it immediately and know that the proper people will be there. Peace of mind.

$47/month for wireless (no phone line) system. "Free" install. I was looking to have one installed and had shopped around for prices. ADT knocked on my door and told me they could do it that afternoon. They were significantly higher monthly than other places, but the install price was a lot lower than what I had been quoted elsewhere. It was pretty much a wash over the 3 year contract, but they came to my house and did it in a day, so I bit on the offer.

ADT-$33 a month for burglary only. Covers doors and windows. I've got smoke detectors in almost every room and 2 fire extinguishers. No contract with ADT.
