Probably not a bad idea. The impacts can be felt for days afterward.

I was in South Carolina during the flooding last fall. My thoughts go out to those impacted right now.

I don't see how school will be open in EBR Tuesday...maybe even Wednesday. 1/3 of the teachers, including me, live in either L.P. or Ascension Parish. Many homes are flooded all over BR, as well.

Hell I think most of the schools in LP are flooded. Lots of cleaning to be done. Buy stock in ServePro.

I am sure schools will be canceled longer than that...even if the rain stops now, it will be a tough week of recovery for that area.

I expect Live Oak and Denham Springs to be out for a week minimum.

Ascension Parish schools are closed as well on Monday.
