Good discussion we had this weekend about my brother in law. My intial response was that he's gong to get in trouble but after thinking it over idk.

The skinny.
Sales territory positions in same areas of Missouri. It's remote positions which means he works from home.
Non competing products.

One company offers cell, vehicle, ins ect
Other offers monthly allowances on cell, vehicle.

He doesn't see the problem, says neither customer base is being neglected and he can handle both works loads simultaneously.
I don't know, I sorta see his point but still there's a reason he's keeping it to himself and lot letting the managers know about the other.

Two together is around 165k a year.

What says ot? Anyone had any experiences like this?

There's no way you can operate efficiently that way. He's gonna be miserable.

I know sales reps that do this as they can sell multiple non competing items. It has to be cool under each contract they sign

If he isn't willing to share the info with both managers, he already knows he shouldn't do it. If both want and expect him to be available full time, he needs to be.

Not reading all that shite. The bottom line is Mcdonalds doesn't give a frick that you work at Taco Bell as long as you are there to dump the fries when you're supposed to be.

Contract manufacturer reps do this all the time. Rep multiple companies at the same time. Now granted they aren't being paid full time salaries by one of them.

Usually if you feel like you have to hide something, it is probably unethical.

It's quite easy provided you have (Edit) THE RIGHT DEGREE. My salary is over 70+% of this plus bonus on top and that's me working just one job.

Wait until they call sales meetings during the same week.

Fun will ensue.

I agree.

But I can see his point too.

Hiding things or just letting people know what they need to know.
Different ways you can look at it I suppose.

Having two jobs is ok. Having two jobs each not knowing that the other exists.. ehh. A scheduling conflict will occur and things will get sticky.

count on this.
Be interesting to see if they could be legally entitled to (the return of) any compensation he receives while double dipping.

That's what I said, what will you do if a training meeting comes up or a ride along with manager or colleague is scheduled at same time?
He said he'd cross that bride if when it happens.

I guess I should have mentioned that these positions are temporary.
Apparently he has something else lined up that will come into fruition in July.
