I work in this industry. One of my reporters last year was best friends with the reporter that got shot.
I can tell you that there is no way that this is a hoax.

What is your theory on where are the three people who died as a result of this? If it were staged, they can never show their faces ever again anywhere someone might have a camera. Are they just chilling on an island with Elvis and Tupac?

I saw it happen live.
The said thing is, modern day life is so diluted with crazy bullshite that I don't even think about it unless someone brings it up.

Trying not to be too naive or gullible either way but that's interesting.
So is the theory that the news people exist but didn't die or never existed or what? How could this be pulled off considering how relatively high profile the victims, shooter were and even the news crew reacting in real time?
I recall the person being interviewed was a real person as well.

That's the crazy thing about believing this is a hoax. What the hell happened to the people? Sent to Guantanamo? Paid an exorbitant amount of money to go into hiding? What?

And FWIW, I thought the crisis actors video was at least moderately believable. But yeah there would still be a ton of questions even if the video were true.
And I had a pretty stout rebuke in my head to the doubters initially as I also followed it live and was pretty caught up in it.

I got pretty deep into it the week or two following the shooting. I honestly had forgotten about it until today since then. From what I remember...
The same model glocks don't flash like his did on video.
No shell casings ejected from his gun.
She looks right at him with a gun, but continues on like nothing is wrong.
He shoots her with the first 3 shots on video, but the camera man goes down after the first.
She takes 3 to the chest from a glock and manages to sprint off in high heels.
No impact, no blood trail.
The wood on the deck on the live video is in a different arrangement from the wood on the deck in overhead crime scene photos.

Yeah but some of those, even if true/accurate, if it was staged you'd think it wouldn't be so. I mean, the complexities of doing that but then having some oddities remain.
