Does it happen within the next 50 years? Even with our federal government leaning toward more socialistic values. I believe our military stands unmatched. What do you think will transpire?

Our navy is the best in the world by far.

That almost completely eliminates a full scale invasion unless the nebulous enemy cripples the navy.

That only leaves Mexico and Canada bordering us.

Are they attacking on burro or mooseback?

Maybe one from within, probably not from a foreign invader.

It would be hard to pull off for anybody outside of China I guess.

Then again anyone who does do this may want to setup shop on the moon because their country will be done within 24-48 hours

Zombies. They're the only ones who could conceivably pull something like that off.

How are they going to get here? Swim? Their Navy is almost non-existent.

Good read. Much talk of nuclear capabilities. I'm that crazy frick though that believes we probably only know about 50 percent of the technology that our government really has. What's to say other countries don't have the same.

Only if we are weakened. That could be possible with a viral attack to make everyone sick. Armies in red hazmat suits and gas masks. Red everything. Especially the streets as blood flows. Bodies hanging from power lines, every house ordered to burn. Every life effected.

Nah, too big to fail.

But look what a handfull of motivated guys did in new York back in 2001.

I only threw out China's name based upon the number of people they have..

I didn't realize they had a shite Navy.

Like extremely weakened. 2 oceans are a powerful deterrent. Our Navy (not to mentioned the US military forces stationed abroad that they'd have to take out first) would have to be nearly abolished for such a thing to happen.

Yeah. They poo. Which I don't see why. It's not like they don't have enough people to start industrializing a Military movement.

China develops technology to paradrop 500 million armed troops and artillery. The civilian population is placed in massive impenetrable nuclear shelters, originally built under the guise of doomsday nuclear meltdown pollution shelters. And that's the whole kicker - they don't care when we nuke their homeland, they're abandoning it because it's too polluted. After the years of bloody fighting and coups and subduing rebel civilian militias and whatnot, the troops will gain order on the western continent and then of course the civilian subterranean supercities on the eastern continent will be emptied as the 500 million civilians are transported over.

I agree, but nothing is truly impossible and in 50 years, how technology has progressed over the past 50, it's safe to say we may not even be able to comprehend the dangers in the present.

And in that time, I just have to say I hope Atlanta never wins a superbowl either.
