I have a pair of Costas, but wouldn't mind trying a new brand. A lot of the people wearing costas now are redneck and white trash. Has anyone used Smith or Maui Jim?

Maui Jim are far superior to Costa. Smith's are good. But for me, I just want anything different than what everyone else is wearing, which is usually Costa.

I love Maui Jim's look, but 580 glass lenses on Costa's are so much better than any lense Maui Jim puts out...

I went to Maui Jim's feeling the same way as the OP and just switched back because the quality lenses just weren't there.

I picked my Maui Jim's up in Maui in 2011. The lens got a tiny scratch in the corner in 2014 so I sent them and they sent me a replacement. Those things have been the best purchase I ever made.

I have a pair of each. The Maui Jim's are nicer glasses but the Costas are better on the water

You can't mean the lenses? I can get behind the idea of someone saying the frames are better on Maui but I just can't see it for the lenses.

Smith Optics are great and so are Kaenon.

Kaenon lenses are amazing. Their style has gone to crap the last 5 or so years.

So maybe find an older model on eBay or something?

Maui Jims fit my face perfectly. Love them, but the lenses could definitely be better. I sometimes find myself taking them off because I can't see as vibrantly.

But I love how they don't slide at all. Super secure.
