lol at using the term "promoting unity" as if that is what Streeter was trying to do.

NBA has done a great job in general handling this phenomenon, tbh.

I agree. You promote unity by doing exactly what they've been doing.

But what you and the rest of those tards fail to comprehend is I merely asked why does the 76ers hate freedom? I mean they want her to sing about the land of the free, however she is prohibited to freely express her self. She was never told of any wardrobe restrictions until 2 minutes before singing the anthem. I mean whatever you can cling to the company time thing all you want. Just keep my name out your mouth if you can't explain to me how they are promoting unity if they refuse to accept the belief of a group of people who are claiming they matter.

Why do you equate their actions with those of someone who hates freedom?

Would you also suggest that they hate freedom if they stopped her from going on naked?

They made a calculated decision. They believe they are better able to promote unity by avoiding purposely divisive acts. You obviously believe they made the wrong decision, which is fine, but they didn't commit some logical fallacy. Their reasoning was sound, even if you disagree with it.

So we value the premise of this being the land of the free but please refrain for exercising that right while you are on our time.
So you wear whatever you want to work, right?

I should be able wear a clown outfit as a doctor, even if my employer tells me no? Right?

They were acting as her employer in this instance.

You have zero understanding of freedom of speech.

I like how y'all were having a serious basketball discussion in the middle of his fight with the other posters.

Freedom of speech has consequences...maybe she will learn as she blew a huge marketing opportunity...

Alternatively, perhaps she got exactly the exposure she wanted. Not sure we'd discuss Sevyn Streeter if she sang it in a jersey that said 76ers on it.

According to Sportscenter, this attention whore signed a contract that prohibited her from making "political statements".

'We Matter'

Wait, did they not let her sing because "We" as in "all" lives matter, has been deemed racist by the BLM movement? Or, did she mean "we" as in people like me, aka sweet chocolate mocha lives matter?

Well this is gonna blow up now that the 76ers have caved to pressure and have apologized and invited her back. I hope the fans in Philly use their freedom of speech by not attending games. If this spreads I hope the ratings for NBA games drops too.
