They made a calculated decision. They believe they are better able to promote unity by avoiding purposely divisive acts. You obviously believe they made the wrong decision, which is fine, but they didn't commit some logical fallacy. Their reasoning was sound, even if you disagree with it.

Well this is gonna blow up now that the 76ers have caved to pressure and have apologized and invited her back. 
I hope the fans in Philly use their freedom of speech by not attending games. If this spreads I hope the ratings for NBA games drops too.
