i know the stereotype thing will come to play a ton here, but this really really surprises me. He always seemed like he had his shite together and knew how to be a businessman

actually surprised by this. I thought he was one of the guys to have a good sense of his money and he had wise investments.

If anytnjng, I think this might just be a move to get him out of paying that chick. He's too saavy and smart of a business man

It's Chapter 11 which most likely pertains to a business of his. How he fricks this up is amazing with the cash he has coming in. $10 mil in assets and $50 mil in liabilities.

and he is doing exactly that by filing bankruptcy.

this is a protection move most likely. Protecting other assets from a bad investment in another business.
