Is a $5 an hour raise an unreasonable request to relocate from NO to BR? Job is the same. At 54k trying to get 60k+.

Considering your math is terrible... I wouldn't be asking for anything.

$54 + $5 = $59

Why should you get a raise? Are you doing something different?

Not if you're moving because it will benefit the company and is their request.

This thread will not go like you want it to. It will be a BR vs. NO competition by page 2.

Get whatever you can get, but if your position requires basic arithmetic skills, you may want to refine your argument.

I do not believe you work in Autocad and make $54/hr.

That's still not correct math

And why should you make more for moving somewhere with a slightly lower cost of living?

He said he was trying to get there. Not that he would get there with this raise, but it'd be the right step to get there eventually. Use a little common sense and don't misinterpret people just to make a dumb joke. I don't see why anyone would do that.

I think he meant 54k to 60k plus. Not his hourly wage. I could be wrong.

Would be a $6k raise, not 5.
