Five Chinese navy ships are currently operating in the Bering Sea, off the coast of Alaska, the first time the U.S. military has seen such activity in the area, Pentagon officials said. The officials said they have been aware in recent days that three Chinese combat ships, a replenishment vessel and an amphibious ship were in the vicinity after observing them moving toward the Aleutian Islands, which are split between U.S. and Russian control. The Chinese ships were still in the area, but officials declined to specify when the vessels were first spotted or how far they were from the coast of Alaska

Probably something that doesn't take into account the logistical nightmare that is invading US territory.

Give them time, they'll run into each other or something stationary.

I've heard Chinese food in America is very different from Chinese food in China. Maybe they just want some Nine Dragon?

Tensions ran high in the southern Coral Sea this morning as a naval brigade of Russian warships were intercepted by several Australian Navy ships, just nine nautical miles from the border of Australian waters.

While the reason for Russian warships to be sailing so far south is still unknown, many believe the Russian Navy to be conducting war game drills, which are becoming increasingly common under President Vladimir Putin.

"fricking fight us, counts!" was overheard coming from Australian Commander Bruce Jones, who is believed to have been severely drunk during the confrontation.

Russian Admiral Vasily Anatoly, also believed to be heavily intoxicated, may have been suffering from double-vision, as he claimed to having seen double the amount of Australian warships that were actually present at the time. Luckily, he directed one of the guns to shoot at the mirage, missing the actual Australian warships by several hundred yards.

In response, Admiral Jones ordered his ship, the S.S. Sheila-Dango, to charge full speed at the Russian brigade. Being intoxicated when giving directions, the Sheila-Dango actually went in the opposite direction of the Russian ships, leading the Russians to believe their single shot had led the Australians to retreat.

Aussie Navy spokesperson Bruce James Bruce, who openly admitted to being "shite-faced" during the press conference, described the confrontation to be "nothing more than a bunch of counts trying to have a go."

"Those fricking Russian counts didn't want to have a round of fists thrown at their pissy little heads," Bruce said before passing out behind the podium.

The Russian Navy has yet to make a comment on the matter. Calls to the Russian Navy Public Relations office were unable to go through, leading the media to assume the Russians haven't yet plugged their phone back in, which has been disconnected since 1997.
