If only those damned statues would come down faster people would never have to worry about this.

That shooting was unreal. It is amazing that more people weren't hurt and killed in that one.

Doesn't surprise me the south side of Monroe especially around south 1-10 or whatever, is easily one of the roughest areas in the state.

What is the mindset of someone who just shoots into a crowd? I can't even formulate a hypothesis on that.

South of I 20 in Monroe had been bad news for a very long time. Need to build a wall around that fricking place.

1400 block of S 3rd isn't what I would call the hood. I wouldn't want to live there but there are much worse areas in Monroe.

Not even close. I used to drive right by the St. Bernard Projects off 610 from 91-95 in dental school and it was like the Fourth of July most nights. Waiting for that light to turn green so you could get on the on ramp seemed to take an eternity. I think there were something like 450 murders in New Orleans annually during that period. One of the most interesting mornings was seeing where the local hoodrats had dumped a body in the horseshoe drive of the school out front as I was heading to class. By that time, I just walked on past and chalked it up to another night in the hood.

Honestly the worst area I've ever seen was in Ruston of all places.

Worst area I've seen anywhere in the US is the neighborhood known as Bogan Walk around N. Acadian in Baton Rouge.

Yeah towards the airport. MLK drive. People all over the streets strung out on crack pulling knives and such.

This was years ago but I doubt it's changed much.

You seriously need to get out more. Birmingham has areas worse than anything Ruston has and north Philly puts them all to shame.

Well if the shooter is an athlete and has been working out and sweating while the rest of us sit in air conditioned offices then he has nothing to worry about. All charges will be dismissed and there will be no prosecution.

ROLL TIDE! of violence.
