Twin Turbo 5.0l

quote:

Both reports suggest the new car will be making well north of 700 horsepower. Horsepower Kings claims the new Shelby GT500 will make roughly 740 horsepower, while Torque News suggests Ford is bandying about power outputs in the range of 750 to 800 horsepower. Ludicrous, sure; then again, 707 horsepower sounded pretty crazy back in the pre-Hellcat era.

Renderings of what it might look like.

I wish they would put a TT 5.0 in a F150.

Supercharged Shelby F150 if you have 100K. Robinson Brothers had one that sold for 108K a couple of weeks ago from what I "heard".

quote:

The base model is equipped with the 5.0 L Ti-VCT V8 power plant that delivers 385 hp and 387 lb-ft of torque. To push the output to 700 hp, Shelby has added a supercharger, a huge cold air intake, high flow injectors, aluminum heat exchange and a billet aluminum high-flow throttle body.

To make sure its presence is felt wherever it goes, the 2016 Shelby F-150 is fitted with a Borla dual-exhaust system. With all these improvements the new 2016 Shelby F-150 accelerates from 0-60 mph in about 4.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 135 mph.

with a twin turbo 5.2, 800hp should be had with ease.

These things will have 1100hp easy on the aftermarket

It will weigh close to 4,000lbs.

Factor that with it being a Mustang...

No thanks

they also said it will more than likely be a regular journal crank. Not the flat plane crank that's in the 5.2l GT350

what are you talking about?
Not like there's anything anyone could do to change your opinion but you just outright spitting bs.
quote:

Another topic worthy of discussion is weight savings. We all know Ford has recently invested heavily in Aluminum materials and tooling, primarily for the new F-150 line – but Ford Performance has also added a heavy dose of weight savings to the new GT350 and GT350R in terms of carbon forged plastic, carbon fiber wheels and aluminum fenders. Could we see a new GT500 with more extreme use of aluminum and carbon fiber? Could we see this car come in at 700+HP and weigh less than 3,600 lbs from the factory?

13.8" rear rotor is pretty fricking big. But since it's not German I'm sure you think it is inferior.
