Anyone know why? Gonna mess up my party a bit.

The new route eliminates St. Charles and Louisiana avenues, according to the organization's official website. The March 12 parade will start at Tchoupitoulas Street and Napoleon Avenue, then turn onto Magazine and stay on street before finishing at Jackson and Tchoupitoulas.

Didn't think about all of the construction going on.

I guess its ok and I will still be able to make my once a year trip to Tracey's after the parade is over to watch the craziness.

Because the bunch of drunkards couldn't finish the lengthy one they had.

Is Tracy's a good spot to catch it or is it a shite show over there. I'm taking my brother on his bachelor party down there that weekend.

Maybe not to watch the parade but yes just to watch the crowd. The whole street between Jackson and Louisiana is pretty much jumping the whole day.

Yes, more reason to check it out.

Buy an ice chest, fill it up, and have fun. Honestly the parade is a great bachelor party event.

Have walked the parade the past two years with a tuxedo on. Ladies throw themselves at you and you get really, really drunk. Can't recommend it enough. Plus my birthday is on St. Patrick's day, so I go hard all day.

Route was changed due to the construction in the area. I ride every year and I love the new route. Much longer route on Magazine than the old one while only cutting the overall route by 0.4 miles. I can't wait

Has nothing to do with construction. Has everything to do with rich folks with voices bitching about being trapped in the Garden District for over 6 straight hours due to the parade. Rumor is it may be expanded to Jefferson instead of Napoleon.

Going to miss starting at Half Moon. Best part of parade is making the turn back onto Magazine and being swarmed for a 2cent flower.

Been marching in tuxedo for 10 years and I don't think I have ever been able to make it all the way to Traceys.

I guess 45 Tchoup, Tipitinas, and Miss Maes become the pre game spot now?

Am also curious to see how it will work out with the pre-parade mass. I imagine they will have to bus people to the starting point or something and parade will get a late start.
