that might be the most intense storm ive ever seen.

Hurricane Wilma. Hurricane Gilbert of 1988. Wilma had minimum pressure if 870 millibars. Gilbert 880 millibars.

NHC is giving that Carolina garbage a 40% probability of TC formation now

Taiwan has 12000 foot mountains right on the coast. That wind tunnel effect in the valleys will be something. Not to mention the flash flooding.

Those 12000 foot mountains will also decimate the storm quite quickly and help at least some with the severity.

The center is still 9+ hours from landfall and there are areas that have already seen 12 inches of rain. Amazing rainfall with these systems!
