I don't know how long they have been publically available, but the 2015 Baton Rouge City/Parish Annual Salaries are up.
43 employees earned over 1,000 hours of overtime in 2015, and four earned over 2,00 hours.
Compare that to 25 employees/1,000 hours in 2014 (five were 2,000+) and 15 employees/1,000 hours in 2013 (one was 2,000+).
In 2015, 105 EBR employees made over $100k (#106 made $99,939)
In 2014, 71 EBR employees made over $100k (#72-73 were only a couple hundred $'s short)
In 2013, 68 EBR employees made over $100k (#69 made $99,645)
And yes, I understand there was an across the board raise of about 2% in 2015.
BR Open Data Spreadsheet- have a look here. Make what you want from the data provided.

Does this really shock anyone?
We have a lot of old tenured geezers working at the city gov.

I thought this was going to be a thread about a local golf or tennis tournament....

I wonder what the department breakdown is here. (I know I could figure it out, but I'm lazy.)
My guess would be mostly clean-up crews and police working events like LSU football and parades.

How many of those are salaries over $100k vs. Base + overtime of over $100k.
I don't think there are that many salaried $100k employees in EBR Government.

Of the 105 employees making over $100k in 2015, 43 had a base pay of $75,000 or less and more than 1,000 hours of overtime.

Fixed it.
I was kinda being a smartass, but thanks for the edit!

Those EBRPD at the top are DWI taskforce. It's absolutely ridiculous that this continues to go on. Some of these guys are averaging >40 hrs per week OT and obviously never take time off.
And somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe their pensions are tied to their highest paying 3 year average. So we will continue to overpay for theses shenanigans for years to come.

Everytime this comes out I wonder how that one police Lt claiming 2,700 HUNDRED HOURS of OT a year doesn't get investigated. That is 7.5 hours PER DAY for every day of the year. I just have to call fricking BS on that. The guy makes $200k as a police LT?

One guy in DPW made less than $30k for his base pay and over $68k in overtime. That's over 40 hours a week in overtime for 52 weeks!
I guess the city doesn't want to pay a lot (or hire enough) for heavy equipment operators?

A lot of city-parish jobs pay crap for what you have to deal with and what licenses/certifications you need. I've heard the "you can work at Walmart for the same pay and not have to be in filthy conditions" excuses often. They really should have bumped up the lower income jobs with that recent pay increase instead of across the board.

How many hours of OT did the City Park wolf work?

Complete and utter BS that top gross earners in the parish are police and fire employees. Managers should have responsibilities to limit OT and make departments be as cost efficient as possible.

Paying someone $100K+/year isn't a deal breaker. The real issue is having to pay them their highest 3 year average for the rest of their life when they retire. That is what's breaking municipalities.
