I haven't found anything about it on local TV or the interweb, but I got a call from an eye witness. At 5:35 pm CST, an 18 wheeler began to swerve in the center lane east bound on I-12 between the Amite River bridge and the Denham Springs exit, hitting multiple cars and continued for approximately for a mile, smashing cars along the way, until another 18 wheeler rammed it into the median concrete wall. The pinned 18 wheeler driver would not exit the cab as law officers from Denham Springs surrounded the vehicle. Holy crap!?

I drove through at 7pm. There were three vehicles parked on the inside shoulder in that area which looked like they had recently been involved in an accident. No evidence of 18 wheeler involvement or police standoffs although it's possible it could have been cleaned up by then.

Nothing about this on the 10 o'clock news. How well do you know the eyewitness?

I was right there at that time. There was a wreck involving 3 or 4 vehicles in the middle lane of i-12 right at the Denham exit. There was no runaway 18wheeler involved. Ambulance and firetruck on the scene but that was it.

12 was a complete mess today. I passed probably 3 - 4 wrecks. The most serious was the one near bass pro, but as someone else said, no truck was involved.

I literally drove through there at that exact time, then back through about 30 minutes later...no 18 wheeler in sight...I did see a fire truck parked across two lanes.

Is this the same lady that saw the cop shoot a man in the back in Baltimore earlier?

It was second hand info from a good friend. But hey, never let the truth get in the way of a good story. I just got home and checking the local news replay...nothing. My kids tell me they've seen nothing on the news. Oh well, at least it BR and not Maryland

I heard the driver fell down, gun fell out of his pants, and he was shot in the back and FOX news brought him to the hospital in BR. News won't be at 11, cause he will have to wait a few hours for treatment.
