i guess i just dont put that much weight into someone being arrested
If he was in college and it happened once or twice within those 4 years, sure... 100% agree it wouldn't be anything noteworthy. But this was 3 times within a calendar year when he's 33-34. Nothing "kind" or "average" about that.

I'm not trying to make it about that. I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy this place can have.

I don't doubt at all you are completely wrong about this. Your buddy is not a normal acting 36 year old responsible person.

"Most people"? Lol. What you're seeing is a few guys call it like they see it. It's gone 10 pages in a whole day. That's nothing for the OT.

I don't understand what the age of the person that was killed has to do with anything?

Why are people saying shite like, "That's why I won't let my kids ride ATV's".

The kid wasn't even driving. The kid could have easily been an adult.

Well, a couple things...

Kids tend to trust adults. Kid gets on a 4wheeler, he expects the adult not to do something that will kill him.

Also, as parents, we are the adults that are supposed to help manage our kid's risk(s). So, letting your kid ride/drive a 4wheeler is increasing their risk of harm. Pretty simple stuff, really.

If you're a parent, you probably understand this, although many seem to not. Why that is, is a whole nother conversation.

Go frick yourself, arse clown .. If someone being arrested four times in less than three years in this thread is a "tired opinion", then you need to just step aside .. it isn't an opinion .. it's a fact .. You do know the difference .. right ?

Yes I'm dead fricking serious. The age of the deceased has nothing to do with the reckless acts of some dumbass adult driving irresponsible enough to kill a person.

The victim could have been any age

You can't be serious. And you have no clue about ATV's obviously. Age and experience means alot in this situation.

You are reading way too much into people simply making a connection to the situation.

You're right .. He should just get off with a slap on the wrist and a $3,000 fine for killing a kid, in spite of his record ..

What if the person that was killed was 19? Does that change anything?

What laws would you like to see that would have prevented this because the person killed was 12 instead of 19?
