*Update one of the officers has died.
**Officers were responding to a DV call, The Campus Police was going as backup.
**Georgia Southwestern State University remains on lockdown at this time.
**The Americus officer is the one who died
*Suspect still at large. Minguell Kennedy Lembrick, 32

One officer has been pronounced dead, a friend told me one of the officers got shot in the head, very sad stuff. As somebody who grew up in Americus this is pretty shocking.

Yep, just a quiet small southern town, in 20 years I don't ever remember seeing anything like this. Both of the officers were very young guys, a lot of people I know that go to GSW know both of them pretty well.

I hate to hear that. I used to be a police officer here in Montgomery, Al. I am trying to get all of my friends out of LEO.
