I used to listen to Deke and Bobby on my ride home a lot. I don't listen to them anymore. I just can't stand that station. I can't stand Bobby unless he's drunk after a big win over a rival or a huge loss. I can't stand 45 minutes of commercials with some radio content mixed in. It's a shame, really.

i don't think it's as glamorous as it seems. i'm sure there are jobs out there that are cool, but most end up doing child custody battles. kids just aren't my thing, but i suppose that's preference.
i don't know that the pay is really that much better than, say, a private practice psychologist.

But seriously, after being back in BR the last year, most of what you get on 104.5 is FAR superior to Deke and Bobby. My problem, 100%, is with Deke. I cant stand listening to him interview a guest.
And for the life of me, I can't understand why WWL, as large as it is, needs to run commercials every 5 mins. On a good day, you might get 25 mins of every hour as actual content. They will get national guests to call into the show to ask one question and then say "sorry, time for news and commercials." I enjoy Mosconas show on the way home far more than I ever did Sportstalk. I really believe if 104.5 could broadcast the same wattage as 98.1, they'd put WWL sports radio out of business.

Kristian is an okay reporter at training camps and such, but when he's hosting the show i'll generally resort to stabbing babies in the ears with a fork.

but you're OK with bobby? every other word out of the guy's mouth is "uuuuuuh" for about 3 seconds. i can't listen to the crap. they're both pretty bad, but i just cannot stand bobby's constant struggle with the English language
