Yes, it really was Sam Bradford’s best game ever

Football broadcasters and analysts love hyperbole more than anything else in the entire world. And we heard plenty of it in Week One, whether it’s the best catch you’ve ever seen to the best running back I’ve ever seen to the best throw you’ll ever see (Jon Gruden actually said that last night, and it wasn’t even close to being the best throw of the game).
But when it comes to instant-analysis claims that Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford played the best game of his career, it wasn’t an exaggeration. That’s not to say Bradford hasn’t had other great games. On Monday night, however, he completed 84.4 percent of his passes and averaged 10.8 yards per pass, a lethal combination of accuracy and efficiency that puts an offense on rails and keeps it there.
Along the way, Bradford lofted a seeing-eye rainbow to Jarius Wright on a crossing route, who wasn’t open and never broke open. Instead, Bradford managed to drop a pig through the eye of a moving needle.
Bradford has never played, or looked, better. While it helps to have time to find an open receiver, it also helps to have the benefit of the time that comes from being with the team throughout the offseason program, training camp, and the preseason.
Last year, his arrival on Labor Day weekend was akin to changing a tire on a moving car. This year, the wheels are rolling well out of the garage. There’s a long way to go, but so far the Vikings are going in the right direction, with Bradford firmly in control of the offense — and having the ability to properly run it.

It's also the longest he's been at the same team with his knees in one piece. He could be finally playing to his potential

Much more likely though is he played against the Saints D. Nothing more than that.

He would be 30/32 if Cook didn't drop 3 check downs. The saints really forced only two incompletions all night. Think about that.

They made Bradford look like Tom Brady and he's not that good. He's always been an indecisive QB, has the talent, but easily rattled, last nite he wasn't rattled at all. The Vikings were Teddy Bridgewater's team, but Bradford has been playing well as of late.

Alex Smith has career game vs NE: Its okay, we're still NE
Sam Bradford has career game vs NO: FIRE PAYTON, THIS TEAM SUCKS.
I'd be concerned for both teams, their vaunted offense couldn't do much vs either team. Their defense got shredded by game managers.

Simple question; Is NO better than or equal to NE in terms of success, history?? Payton comes nowhere near Belidick as a head coach, the only reason he's sporting a super bowl ring is because of a man he hates (Gregg Williams).
People in New Orleans have a legitimate reason to bitch about what's going on there. I wish the Saints had New England's history.

That's besides the point. Both defenses got destroyed by game managers and rookie RBs.
Some of yal act as if this game is already over and we're 0-2 for sure. Minnesota was more impossible because our strength had no chance vs their Defense.
NE has a porous defense, our strength could actually win this game.

They are complaining about announcers his hyperbole but they never once mentioned that Bradford was playing the worst defense in the history of worst defenses
Posted on 9/12/17 at 12:03 pm to htran90
No, that's not beside the point, what I said is very accurate. I know it's the first game of the season, but fans have seen this story play out season after season now for 8 frustrating years. I think it may be time for a change at HC, shite happens, time moves on and teams move on, Payton hasn't really done shite in awhile.
but I give them a great chance against NE, they should win this game, I say should, but you never know with the Saints.

I don't even think Bradford compares to Alex Smith in terms of success as a QB

Uh huh.... it's always "well that defense was amazing"... or "the refs screwed us"... or "we were missing some key player"... it's never "man we just aren't very good"

Saints defenses have a tendency to do that.

hey bitch, ragging on the team as hard as possible so that you aren't disappointed/upset on gamedays or for the rest of the year just reeks of weakness. You will be the first to hop the bandwagon when we beat New England on Sunday I'm sure

Bradford and the Eagles hung 39 on us in 2015, too. 32/45 333 yards 2 TD/2 INT

...so you're saying Bradford is better or the Saints defense is worse in 2017 versus 2015.

I'd love to know how many QBs have had career days vs the saints over the last 10 or so years.
