There are other young QBs id rather have if it could actually happen. I do believe our next QB is on another teams roster as we wont be in position to draft a top teir QB

I was really hoping the Saints would draft Dalton when he finished up at TCU... I knew he'd be sitting behind Brees for his rookie contract, but figured he'd be sensational after a few years with CSP as Drew's backup and heir-apparent.

How many playoff wins did Drew Brees have in the first four years of his career? Brees had one in his first 8. 5 years into his career, San Diego was looking for Plan B even before his injury.

Is Andy Dalton the next quarterback to take "the leap?" The percentages dictate that somebody's taking the next step behind Brady and Manning this year. If not Dalton, who? Luck is a wreck right now. Carr has promise but his franchise as a whole is inept. Bortles is good but his team sucks. Rivers is going nowhere with his team. There's no excuse for Tannehill to still be going nowhere. Alex Smith has hit his ceiling.

If Cincinnati can get on Denver's side of the bracket and not New England's side, they can reach the AFCCG, which puts would put him a year ahead of Brees' pace.

If I could have any quarterback in the league who has only been out of college for 3 years or less I would want Derek Carr all day. He would kill it in our system.

He is on pace for
66.2% completion
4553 yards
8.6 Y/A
34 TDs
9 INTs
107.6 QB rating

Yal are nuts to say no. He finally has a decent weapon outside of Green and he's playing exceptionally well.

I'm not too sure that Dalton would be as good with the lack of amount of weapons here in New Orleans as he is in Cincinnati

I think the reputation is unwarranted. Marvin Lewis is the problem. Dalton is the only QB that has taken his teams to a position where they could even think of winning a playoff game. He had Carson Palmer pre-injury and Chad Johnson in his prime and didn't win shite with that either. I mean, he's about to be 5-for-5 in playoff appearances in his career and he plays for the FREAKING Bengals? How many QBs led their teams to the playoffs the first five years in the NFL? And he plays in a division with the Steelers and Ravens. It's not exactly the AFC South.
