Yes I think I would sign up for 10-6 and hope that would win the division.

I really hope we can win at least 11 games on the reg season though

Why? One more win from the previous year, no playoffs, and drafting in the middle of the 1st.

I want to win the division and lock up the top seed.

I'm tired of having to travel to fricking Seattle. I want those pussies in the Dome come January.

Meh, I think we're an 11-5 or 12-4 type team, but with the unpredictable injuries that occur in the NFL a guaranteed 10-6 is pretty attractive.

Personally no, I'll take my chances with a weak schedule in a weak division with a team loaded with talent up and down the roster entering a season where we were humiliated the previous season.

It smells like 12-4 to me.

10-6 wins the south, so yea I'll always take that in a heartbeat. It's not like we win the division every year.

No. I'm not settling already for a wildcard. We have added Browner to our weakest position last year. We got younger, faster, and hungrier at LB. Byrd is back. We've got one of the best centers who will help give Brees more time to spread the ball around, plus another O-lineman (Peat) in case someone goes down. We got Spiller. Anyone else I'm missing?

IMO, we are a 12-4 team but I'll say 11-5 as a minimum. This team will surprise the league next year. Mark my words.

In a heartbeat but I think we're 8-8 at best.

This.

The only way we are better than 8-8 is if several players that took the year off last year return to form.

Would take 10-6 all day.

Yes...I would take 10-6. And hope Seattle or Green Bay shites the bed and loses homefield playoff potential.

Going on the road for the Saints in the postseason is a deathwish.

Concerns with defense this year may make playoffs a moot point anyway.

Are you kidding ???? I'd take 9-7 right now ! There are sooooo many holes and question marks in the current line-up, I fear we're realistically looking at another losing season !

Damn I forgot about AZ missing at 10-6. After last season, I have to lean toward yes on 10-6. I think we can and will win the south with that record.

New England went 11-5 in 2008 and missed the playoffs. Same year Brady's knee got hurt in Week 1 and missed the season.

Matt Cassel won 11 games for the Patriots but Miami won the division also at 11-5.

Colts were Wildcard team at 12-4 and the Ravens were the other Wildcard team at 11-5

yeah, I would.

anytime your team can make it to double digit wins, its been a good year.

i think with the roster turnover we've had in the offseason, 10-6 would be especially nice.

looking forward to seeing what kind of a difference Unger will make at center. We've been pounding the drum for awhile on this board for a new center... and now we've got a high caliber player here. Just hope he stays as healthy as possible.

I think only 1 team has went 10-6 in the regular season and missed the playoffs...Miami in like 2003.

Not exactly 10-6, but New England went 11-5 the year that Matt Cassel was the quarterback and missed the playoffs.

The Saints had several games last year that they should have won. Just getting slightly better would improve last years record by 3 wins. Has anyone looked at how easy the back end of our schedule will be. This team has improved in the offseason from last year even though they have lost Graham, Lofton, and Galette. See my post from earlier. My only concern is the defense may take a few games to gel with the rookies and new veteran faces, but that is my only concern. Would one of you negative Nancies please provide me your thoughts on what we will be weak at this year.
