If all the premier defenders are off the board at 12 and then best value is a great offensive prospect, I'm all for it.

The Hightower signing by the 49ers has me thinking this could be a possibility . Yeah we got Ingram but he is not a homerun threat like cook is..hmmm

At 11, I really hope we get a starter.

I wouldn't mind Curtis Samuel if he is there at #42. He will contribute immediately on ST, but can also be a solid change of pace RB or a slot WR.

Why are we trading back one spot with the Browns?

I wouldn't mind that at all as long as we drafted a DE at #11.

I won't be surprised if we don't pick anyone at 12

Depends, who do we draft at 11 and what did we give up for 12?

I would be thrilled with McCaffrey, as he would add a dimension to our offense that we haven't had since letting Sproles leave us. He wouldn't be just another running back.

That said, if we take McCaffrey at 11, we'd better damn sure address defense with the next couple picks. No getting cute and drafting a QB at 32 or 43 if we go offense at 11 (and vice versa, should we select the QB of the future at 11).

Absolutely pissed. Too many good backs can be found in the 3rd and 4th round.

We need to add a defensive star that impacts the game each week

If Fournette us there at 11 and we have traded for Butler somehow then I wouldnt mind. But if we still need a DE and CBS we better not get too cute.

Problem with drafting a rb high is you don't save any money on his rookie deal unlike with a CB, LT, DE, or QB.

Saints will draft Ingram's replacement in this draft. Don't think it comes at 12, but could come as early as 42

I would not say replacement. It would be his compliment. Ingram is still very young and could get a third contract from us.

I would not be surprised if after this season we give him a 3 year extension.

If we got McCaffery at 11, I honestly wouldn't be that upset. Barnett is dropping, the top defenders will be gone and I truly believe McCaffery is the receiving back we've yearned for since Sproles.

I don't see it. Payton has always tried to keep at least 2 starting caliber backs.
