The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Bernardrick McKinney (miss st) is rated the No. 24 overall prospect for the draft by both CBSSports.com and ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper. He has been compared to the likes of Dallas Cowboys standout (former Alabama star) Rolando McClain and former Chicago Bears Pro Bowler Brian Urlacher.

If we don't go O-line I'll take a thumper or pass rusher. Him or donte fowler would be a great pick.

solid pick but picking at 13, you would think the saints have a great opportunity to get someone at least top 10ish on their particular board, do you think he's that high on their board? We're probably eyeing down some of the edge guys.

We'll trade up for an offensive weapon; the defense is fine.

Probably would have to trade down and that would be a risk. Will have to see how he gets bumped up close the draft gets.

To run a Rob Ryan defense you need a strong player like him with size.

OL is a big need as well especially interior, could even draft a L Collins and start him at G

CB another huge need as well

hard to argue the need against a front 10 D player or a interior OL, WR, or even a OT honestly if its an upgrade. Part of draft is also waiting on free agency to shake out.

I really like McKinney, but the drawback on him is his coverage skills and play in open space. Seems like the Saints have a couple LBs like that already.

Same here. Seems more of a Lofton type ILB. Good player no doubt.
Looking at OLB's and it seems very thin for known blue chippers. Most seem OLB/DE pass rushers.

I'd say only get McKinney if we decide to trade down. I feel like we'll get a Guard with our first pick. Hoping for Scherff.

If Scherff is available at 13, then something seriously went wrong with his workouts etc.

I truly believe we need a long CB who can cover. Lewis needs some help. That alone would help with pass rush (not trying to make excuses for the complete lack of desire to get to the QB.) Lets just be real there are wholes in a lot of places. Need a solid starter who can come in on the OL and a OLB that is fast to the edges. It is really going to depend on what they feel can come in and start immediately, and where they feel they can draft said player, weather its 1st round or a later round.

If Scherff if there we ABSOLUTELY take him no questions asked, next up would be Trae Waynes CB if it were me.

TRE' JACKSON, OG
FLORIDA STATE

In addition to possesses road-grader size and power, Jackson will surprise with his athleticism and quickness when asked to mirror rushers or get to the second level as a run blocker, and plays with solid instincts and awareness in both facets of the offense.

Waynes is pretty good, but I think Ifo Ekpre-Olomu would fit nicely on our roster. Waynes does have the size advantage, but Olomu is a little faster and a better cover corner imo.

Olomu just tore his ACL a few weeks ago. He isn't worth pick #13 at this point. Maybe in the second if he falls.
