I will never forget this draft, I was so exciting thinking we had made the move to get Trufant - only to see us draft that worthless MF'er

John Carney because he missed the field goal vs Jags.

Brooks is one of the best quarterbacks ever to play for the Saints.

Think about it.

Brees
Manning
Hebert
Brooks

Manning had a shitty team around him, Hebert is a beloved QB.

Brees is a beast, but Aaron played some good games.

Now I was there the game the whole crowd was shouting "Delhomme, Delhomme" then to see that guy go to the super bowl the next year.

What really gets me is that we always have talent, we always have a deep roster (okay maybe not defensively lately) yet our coaching always fizzles out.

Look at Hasslett great first year, mediocre second, gets new big contract and the rest is history. Well at least he is doing good with the rams.

Payton, first year, greatest in Saint's history, second is mediocre, signs big new contract and coaching goes to shite.
Its a pattern, we are cursed.

I think everyone thought we would get Trufant. The ESPN reporters were already talking Trugant up and when they picked Sullivan everyone just looked at each other and they said this was a reach and they couldn't beleive they passed on Trufant.

As for Aaron Brooks, he was one of the better Saints QB's until he signed that contract. He holds a lot of Saints records and played hard the first two years. Also led us to our first playoff win. Easily not the worst ever, but might have been the one that broke our hearts the most because he gave up on the Saints and himself. FWIW & IMHO.

Only one person said Josh Bullocks? Wow, I am shocked.

Saints have had many, many bad players, especially in the secondary. It's pretty amazing how good the dome patrol was in SPITE of the horrific secondary.

My votes are for Exerleben and Bullocks.

Put anyone on the Saints back 7 and they will be the worst player ever for the franchise.

He was very bad in New Orleans...he seemed to check down to the back on almost every passing play.
