Would the outcome of the game been different if both played?
Payton is making mistakes with play calling in the games, but I say the injuries on the defensive side of the ball is hurting the team more then Payton is.
Porter would have been on SteveSmith instead of Randal Gay and Jason David.
THe tru weakness of this team is the defense and the secondary. the weakest link is the backside of our secondary. our safteies have no range and cannot cover over the top.
Did Payton allow the Panthers to take over the ball at there 1 yard line and march down the field eating up the clock in the fourth quater?
Our defense did. when there was a play to be made to get off the field on third down theyy let D'angelo Williams run up the middle dragging Shanle for the first down.
Thats not Paytons fault that the players who failed to execute on the field.

For everyone who say's Payton is bad coach who needs to be fired, I ask is New England with Matt Castle that much better then Denver and Shanahan or St.Louis with Haslett a better team then Dallas with Phillips .

I do remember Carolina having just as bad a loss the week before to Tampa. IS tampa really a better team then Carolina?
