Link???

The wife isn't the one who wants to move them. She has no ties to San Antonio outside of Tom's family. What's the point of this odd post anyway?

Sports Talk Radio has mentioned them moving to Las Vegas, not San Antonio.

Vegas isn't getting two teams and Gayle has no reason to move the team from her home

The only place I could see the Saints moving in my lifetime is to the Mississippi Gulf Coast while still calling themselves the New Orleans Saints

Here's what is gonna happen, possibly sooner than later:

1. Saints will start bitching about the Superdome.
2. Louisiana won't have any money.
3. ?????

Everybody's getting NEW stadiums...billion dollar stadiums with retractable roofs and mixed developments and all kinds of other bullshite. The time will come that they will want something brand new and the state probably won't be ready for it. Instead we hitched our wagon to gutting the Dome over and over agaon.

St Louis or Oakland or some other shite-on city is gonna pony up the money truck and we won't be able to do anything about it.

Nola could find a new stadium via a huge hotel tax

But I don't see them building a new stadium for 20+ years with the love the Superdome gets. Just keep renovating it, there is nothing wrong with the structure.

The best stadiums aren't the billion dollar ones. They are the ones with history and good locations. Superdome, Seattle, and Pitt stand above the rest that I've been to due their location.

They blew up the Kingdome in Seattle to build CenturyLink and it opened in 2002. Heinz Field opened in 2001. Look, I know you may think the Superdome gets love but once the LA stadium(s) open and the Raiders move to Vegas and Atlanta's new stadium opens, I think you'll be surprised how quickly Gayle's people are gonna turn on us. The lease is up in 8 years and the demands will be high. Hopefully our brilliant leaders have the foresight to start preparing. I wouldn't hold your breath though.

San Antonio would be a mistake for any team wanting to relocate, you are not competing with Dallas Cowboys in that market.

This is what people dont seem to understand. No matter how muc nostalgia the Dome brings its your grandmas Cadillac in regards to all the other new stadiums popping up every freaking year. In fact we have got to be pushing as either the oldest or second oldest stadium in the NFL.
