Will Brees be our QB in 2019?

Obviously he will be here next year, but can we realistically expect him to be here in 2-3 years? I feel like fans feel content with the next chapter consider Drew's age, but at the same time they dont realize how important Drew Brees is to us even with his growing age.

I get the time will tell, but i prefer Drew to play at a slightly lower level to his last 10 years of greatness compared to having a horrible QB that knows nothing.

If we make the playoffs, I think so

If we lose, he'll go to a team that can contend

Nah. We'll sign Kirk Cousins in 2018.

The majority of the records he's close to breaking will probably happen in two years. After that, I think he hangs them up unless something drastic happens. Either way, I think two years are what is left of the Brees era in New Orleans, but then again Tom Brady is about to be 40 and he has no intention of slowing down so who knows.

He becomes a FA after this year and has a no tag clause. Not so obvious.

May as well retitle the thread with 2018.

I hope not. All he's doing is holding franchise back from rebuilding. It's over move on

Sure seems like we've been rebuilding the roster.

He's the reason for all the dead money

He isn't the only one.

The movie Idiocracy will go down as one of the most foretelling pieces of entertainment since the book 1984.

I think it would be extremely beneficial for saints to see kirk cousins traded this year and he works out a long term deal with new team. Postponing his long term deal till next year may cause Drew and Saints to stay at impasse over market value.

He's the reason we're 7-9 and not 3-13 or 2-14.

He is staying or retiring.

He needs NO/LA to start his political career. If he leaves, he risks ruining that

I believe he will and should have left to go to another team that is going to contend for a super bowl. It would be sad that one of the greatest quarterbacks in history is going to end his career with several seasons of not realistically being in the running for a championship. He deserves another ring for everything that he has done, sadly it isn't going to happen here.
