Why no more Deuce?

If he was healthy enough to take the field, why not use him more on first down and on third and short?

I can't imagine SP is that stupid...at least until today. I was always under the impression that Deuce was not playing because he hadn't recovered enough to play, but putting him in the game three times today proves that assumption wrong.

here's the problem
when you say deuce is recovering and you use that to keep him out of games, then you have to live by that decision..
but when you use him sparingly but he's effective this opens the wormhole...

deuce ran well, bush can't run well. if he's not injured, what are we waiting for?
