What are Archie's career accomplishments?

You mean aside from being named NFC Player Of The Year on a sub-.500 team?

Most of AM's Saints teams were not only terrible, but he also played most of his career before the late '70s "legalized holding" rule changes on blocking that were adopted to increase passing. So the stats for any later QB are going to be inflated by comparison.

I'll take the judgments of Staubach, Lambert, and NFL Films ("There may be some question as to who was the Best of the Best. But there is no question that Archie Manning was the Best on the Worst") over an SFP wannabe on an internet message board.

The mark of a very bad team with absolutely no running game

In 1978, he was named the NFC Player Of The Year by UPI after leading the Saints to a 7–9 record.

You can have the last word, I'm outta here.

No, you'll take the word of anyone who will tell you Archie was special or a good player on a bad team. So again, without "but but but Roger Staubach said" name his accomplishments and don't be so quick to trust wikapedia this time.

It's funny when people resort to calling you SFP and posting pictures of an animals a-hole because you dare defy the age old myth that Archie was a good QB.

Why doesn't someone give me a stat, award, something...

Im beginning to think fox mulder is aaron brooks. He also argued brooks is better than big ben rothlisberger.

But i do agree, Archie is overrated.

No I said brooks and roethlisberger were the same statistically their first 6 seasons, and that was Truman.

Archie had his chance to prove how great he was when they had that great offense with Thunder & Lightning at RB's and Wes Chandler, Ike Harris, and Henry Childs at TE! The monday night game against Oakland was a killer for me because they started off like they would blow Oakland out of the Dome, then the second half came and suddenly Archie couldn't do anything with all that talent he had!
