LOOMIS DOESN'T DRAFT THE TALENT, DUMBASS

While he may not make every single draft decision, the buck still stops with him.

P.S. Unless Benson totally called that particular shot.

I havent been shitting on the franchise?!?!
I just disagree with the statement that "Loomis doesnt draft the talent"
Look, I think if you look at the entire course of Mickey's tenure, he has done a phenominal job. That does not mean I think every move he makes is the most prudent choice. But it does not matter b/c he is the GM and I am behind a computer screen.

I will grant you that if the Saints weren't better than average at finding late round gems and UDFA's, then the early round misses would stand out much more. That being said, your claims are arbitrary and unfounded. You can't just come here and say the number of misses you see are unacceptable, you have to compare them to other teams drafting in similar positions. How do they stack up to the more successful playoff teams of the last 5 years like the Pats, Packers, Steelers, and Giants?

link examples - cause the OP sure isnt going to do so - all he is gonna do is keep spouting the same crap, but when asked to compare to other teams in terms of draft picks - he vanishes.

both.

throw out the Giants because i dont consider them a powerhouse like the other teams. Borderline mediocre regular seasons with hot postseasons. Even though you can look at a guy like Pierre Paul and acknowledge he is better than any defensive player Loomis has ever drafted.

Green Bay specifically has been masterful in the late round and Undrafted free agency

Pitt- very good drafting team

NE- very good drafting team

I think you are a bigger idiot than the OP. OP seems to be clearly trolling. You on the other hand seem to really believe Loomis has something to do with picking players.

i think the biggest thing witht he OP is this Lester....noone on here is saying we have had super drafting success - only pointing out that to place the full blame on loomis is completely wrong.

He's definitely overrated but I wouldn't say he sucks.

Been living off that 2006 draft for a while though.

Courtesy of Drafttek:

From 2009-2011, the Saints draft success rate is 75%. New England sits at 66.7% and Pittsburgh is at 65.4%.

Green Bay is at 79.2%

And when you look from 2009-2013, out of 21 draft picks, that number is not close to 75%...actually it drops to a despicable 13 players or 62% retention rate which is one of the lowest in the NFL.

The buck stops with Loomis.
