go on a win streak and get the last playoff spot, go to Green Bay in the first round and lose by 21
OR
lose most of the games left and get a top 3 pick next year, probably with a new HC
im afraid of the worst case scenario might happen. we win just enough to be in the discussion for a playoff spot, but lose the last game or two and not only dont go to the playoffs, but end up with a draft pick in the 15-20 range.

We won't get a top 3 pick with 4 wins. 9 teams have fewer wins than we do. At least 3 will have less than us even if we lose out, could be more. And we won't lose out anyway without firing SP and releasing Drew

While I wouldn't want to ever willingly face Rogers, they're a mess right now. Usually I'm all for the tank, but no one in the NFC looks unbeatable. With Brees we'll always have a chance.
And we're only a game and a half behind Atlanta who I think currently holds the 6 seed.
I think we needed this bye week big time. Hopefully that will give everyone time to chill the hell out, regroup, and come out strong again. If they flounder against the Texans off a bye....then yes I will feel much worse about that.

And I don't see any scenario being great for us right now. We aren't going to win much until we get healthy, but we have so much injured talent, it's hard to see what we have. And while I'm hopeful the organization can look at itself, see what it needs, and draft effectively, like they did last draft, I'm still concerned it could be a fluke bc all of the rookies are starting are one of the league's worst defenses

I still think we get in
BYE weeks can do wonders and it came at a great time
We have an easy schedule rest of the way and after we destroy Houston we will be right there in the hunt
I agree, going to the Giants or Arizona or philly doesn't scare me.

Pump the breaks on Arizona...still wouldn't be thrilled going there

Go on a win streak and give the young guys playoff experience
Not gonna happen though
If by in the hunt you mean need to win out. And if Green Bay is hosting, that means that the Vikings need to lose 4 games
We're gonna beat houston and Carolina then get blown out by the jags

Tennessee and Washington were both "easy" games and Houston/Detroit don't look like a cake walk the way we're playing either.
We still have to catch up to Atlanta, we lose the tie breaker to 3 other 4 win teams (Philly, Washington, and tb), 3 other teams are 4-5 (Chicago, Seattle, and stl). Definitely could be a case of 9-7 goes in, but realistically we'd have to go 5-1 the rest of the way. The way the nfc east avg'd 40+ on us... We'd be lucky to go 3-3

We don't have to lose drew brees. We just need a defensive minded head coach . we need all new coaches position and regualar coaches. New trainers and let Ireland draft
Heck let jeffe Ireland be the GM of the saints. Let Loomis GM the pelicans .

There is no win streak coming.
What you hear is the lonesome wail of another losing season wafting through the bayous.

Tank for a top 3 pick. But like others have said, it's not gonna happen.

Arizona would kick our asses again, easily.

Tanking is such horse shite.
You tell the rookies to go out there and bust their asses every down of every game. No chicken shite quitting. They gain experience and unity and leadership that way.

Yup.
Never said and rarely done.
The colts did it right by playing a bad one year QB dumping aging vets with a infusion of younger players all to make sure without saying it of getting the #1 pic in Luck.
A lot of things have to come together just right to pull this off without using the "T" word
