If we are talking about guys in their prime I'd take Archie as Brees' backup over anyone else. He was a Pro-Bowl QB on terrible teams.

I honestly forgot Stabler was QB for the Saints. He was done and had a rag arm by the time we got him. However, if we are talking about guys in their prime I may go with Stabler over Archie but it'd be close.

Weren't the Saints leading the Cowboys by one point late when he was called for intentional grounding while in the end zone, thus losing by one point? Or did I hallucinate that?

No, you weren't hallucinating. Not sure it went exactly like that, but he did do something stupid near the end zone causing us to lose that game.
