Where are all the "salary cap won't be an issue" folks now?

Jimmy is far from my favorite player, but he's in the top 3 on the team and we've gotta get rid of him.

Lulz at all the "you don't know how the cap works" folks

you may want to wait for the facts to be known before you throw out your "lulz" and shite. this seems to be something more than just a cap move.

Graham was the issue here

He wore out his welcome and his attitude sucked

We turned a 3rd round pick into a first and a really good center, freed up cap room to sign some guys or one big one (Revis)

This is great news. Only downside is they should've done it last year gotten more and drafted Beckham

The signing of Jimmy last year was way worse than trading him this year. Too much money for a TE. I hate to see him go because I think he will go down as an all time great, but we can really turn this to our favor if we are smart about it.

We were already under the cap with the Galette deal. This is a deal to fill bigger holes.

Who do we have at center to block for the guy that throws the ball to those guys that catch the ball?

Exactly, how many times was he shutdown by a single player. Can't be a legit #1 when you are shutdown by a single player.

Also, as many pointed out this was not a salary cap move. It may save $1-2M in cap space; Unger has a pretty hefty contract himself.

I think we chose to get rid of him.

It was definitely a money move, but we will be better off as a team because of it. 10 Mill is a lot to tie up in a TE.
