tackle is arguably just as important as a pass rusher.

I didn't like the pick but I didn't hate it either.

would have felt the same way if we got Dupree.

Raw.

I think Peat starts, Dupree might have been behind Spencer. At least if we get Gregory or Harold he gets in situational packages as a pass rusher.

was a workout warrior who dominated lower level teams and struggled against good teams.

He'll be the starting LT unless Strief moves inside. Strief has outplayed Armstead.

You really think he can take Armstead's spot?

what a waste of another early pick (Armstead) if true. But i doubt it. I dont think you throw a rookie at LT

I trust our coaches to find a way to get the five best linemen on the field.

Dupree would have been nice at 31. I wanted him shortly after I saw Winston drafted but calmed down as our pick neared. As more time passes I like the Peat pick more and more.

I wanted interior OLine. Unless there is value in Strief or Armstead and one is moving tomorrow, I'm not sure where Peat fits.

Dangers of subset scouting: Bud Dupree vs Ohio, Mizzou, ULM & L'ville: 4Sk, 3Ht, 15Hu.

vs Tenn, UGA, UF, SoCar: 1Sk, 3Ht, 1Hu.

In 7 of 12 games, Bud Dupree had 2 or fewer pressures. In those other 5 games, Dupree mostly had pressure against bad RTs

in 2013 that wasn't the case. Same players we still have basically.

I think the guys could have bought their own hype? Maybe not. Who knows?

Same players up front yeah but not in the secondary. That was the issue. Pass rush and coverage is a two way street and we gave up way too many quick passes for our pass rush to be effective.

Everyone likes to think it only works one way and that the pass rush helps the secondary but the secondary (and LBs in coverage which is what the biggest issue was) needs to cover for more than two seconds every play.

Dupree is the early favorite for the title of non-Saints rookie I will know the most about next season because his stat line will get posted on this board in 45 different threads every Sunday.

He was a better fit with Pittsburgh just like Jarvis Jones was.
