What if an ESPN personality started to say that the process is jacked up?

You know, a guy like Mike Greenberg:

19 Jun Mike Greenberg ?@Espngreeny
Having unlimited authority does not mean you shouldn't be held to a standard of reasonableness. Was the NFL reasonable with the #Saints?

19 Jun Mike Greenberg ?@Espngreeny
If I'm Vilma or one of the other players, I can't even fathom how frustrated I am. #Saints

19 Jun Mike Greenberg ?@Espngreeny
If I'm a fan of the #Saints I let the league know how disgusted I am the only way I can. With my wallet.

19 Jun Mike Greenberg ?@Espngreeny
Having heard from Shefty, I am more convinced than ever that the system failed miserably in the case of the #Saints. Unfair, unreasonable.

And now Ashley Fox, who previously wanted us crucified, is saying that Goodell went too far:

I can't take Greenberg very seriously, even when he supports the Saints.

Now, if guys like Mark Schlereth, who seems to be on their side, would just be more vocal. That would carry a lot more weight. Former players that have been in the locker rooms and know what's really happening with all of this.

Like it or not, Greenberg is more similar to the average fan than Schereth and the rest. If he is able to change his mind, then the average fan is able to change his mind. If the average fan changes his opinion on the Saints, then we will be able to have the necessary public outrage to effect change.

Mort:

Chris Mortensen ?@mortreport
@vice_chad29 On vacation & I'm skeptical on much of what I've heard from NFL on #Saints. Not exonerating but severity demands more answers.

As the days pass, more people are starting to demand more facts and less speculation. If we can get the sports media like ESPN, like them or not, on our side, then it can turn things around.

In politics, they're what is known as useful idiots. In ESPN's case, underscore the word idiots.

This sounds like a reverse-psychological way of turning us against the Saints.

I would think somehow they thought the new angle was better for ratings. I have given up on the male sop-opera of espn.

The problem with this theory is that ESPN is in the same bed as as the NFL. It's like CNN and The Left.

Yeah well, ESPN just rolled over in that bed, and went, "Hey, what did I just roll in?.......DAMMIT ROGER!"

If you think CNN is left wing then your perception is skewed.

Now, if you had said MSNBC and the left, no problem.

How exactly do we do that?

Stop buying Saints merch? Stop watching Saints games?

I don't think Greenie thought that one all the way through.

If people don't go to Saints games and don't buy Saints merch, then that can be construed in the court of public opinion as support for the commissioner...
