What are the odds Brees goes over 5000 yards for the third time this year?

Through five games, Drew is on pace to break his 2011 record of 5476 with a current projection of 5504.
He needs to average 298 yards per game to break 5000 and 341 yards per game to break his record. He is currently averaging 344 ypg.
The biggest anomaly this year has been his completion percentage. His career low is 57.6%(2003) and his saints low is 64%(2006). As we know Drew has the NFL record for completion percentage in a season as well. He was a mere tenth of a percent behind Chad Pennington for the most accurate passer in NFL history coming into this season. I am sure his current 58.9% is not helping him break that mark.

Very, very good chance.

With little in the way of a running game and having to play from behind frequently, Drew will get over 5000 yards. QB rating will likely be only a little above average however.

I'd rather see Drew average only 275 YPG for the rest of the season and our running game at least 150 YPG. I'm sure this would mean we have a better chance of making the playoffs. This would also mean the defense would have to continue to improve, which may be happening.

Good chance of this happening. Unfortunately I think we will be playing from behind a lot, so you will see him throwing the ball more and more.
