We have Adrian Peterson...

This is just starting to sink in. We have one of the best running backs in NFL history in the same backfield as Drew Brees. He's not in his prime, but he looks like he has something to prove and he's still a specimen. Brees, Peterson to go along with young playmakers...what a time to be alive.

Peterson at 90% of his prime is still a top 5 RB

We are happy to have him.
We need him to run for 2000 yards.
We need to score 49 points a game.

Not all posts are intended to enlighten, mate. Just feeling optimistic.

I really wish we could have added either Tolbert, Juscyzk(?) or DiMarco at FB to lead the way for Ingram/AD but I'm still stoked nonetheless.

I'm excited, but I'm cautiously optimistic.
The biggest thing to me is Sean Payton, is he willing to commit to the run? A commitment like 2011 and we're going far, skewed and we're sitting at 7-9

main thing for me is how well the O-line will gel together. I think the talent is there but hopefully there won't be further issues with the guys who already aren't 100%.
that and if AP and Ingram stay mostly healthy then I think they'll be fine.

If Peterson is 90% of his best we will beat the shite out of everyone

I wish the thread title read.........
WE HAVE A DEFENSE

This fact has me giddy and most fans of other teams I speak to are still surprised we got him. I'm over here just salivating at the thought of a Brees-led offense with AP in the backfield even close to his HOF level play we've seen. We'd put up 30-35/game easily

If our O-line wouldn't be so banged up, we could have an unstoppable offense.

To me, acquiring AD is an indicator of Payton's realization that we have to emphasize the run more. Drew is getting older and we cannot rely on his arm to carry us for the entire season. When we find a team we can run on, we have got to be able to pound the rock.

I wonder if Ingram would be willing to block for Peterson?

I wonder why a person would even wonder such a thing.
Whats he going to do? Whiff? Refuse the play? Tell them all to go f@ck themselves
