I didn't read the link but I'd say the odds are low. Goodell is working within the framework of the CBA. Part of why he's handling this so poorly is because he can.

If he rules that it's upheld because they have proof of PAY FOR PERFORMANCE, I'd hope his defamation lawsuit would have legs, because he's been labeled as a merciless bounty hunter for months and now he's being punished because he might have given somebody money for a fumble recovery.
