Liked him when he was here. Not sure how I would feel if he were to sign with them. Hope he catches on with somebody other than those losers.

I don't think he will make it through training camp anywhere he goes. Love the guy but he looked to be done.

We made a big mistake in not letting him go a year sooner. Great leader, but his body can't match his mind any more. He looked so incredibly bad against Denver in 2012.
This organization had a problem with being too loyal with players until this year. That is why the Sproles hate by the media was so ridiculously stupid.

Yep
I still can't get over the backlash after we cut moore/vilma/smith/greer etc and people thinking we were done.
My how things have changed

I would like it only for the fact that Aints fans would lose their sht over it.
Just went through that whole thread. Good stuff. I've totally got my shite ready in the event that I have to lose it once we lose an injured, 32 year old player that hasn't been worth a shite since 2009.

Just looked up the PFF ratings on him:
2010: -25.5
2011: -24.4 (Not 1 game with a positive score)
2012: -6.3 (less games)
2013: -1.4 (NYJ)
His best attribute was his pass coverage which is probably the 1st thing to go as he gets older

I hope he does make the team and by some miracle he sees the field. Saints would have a field day.

For sure, any saints fan with half a brain knows what he did for our program.

Vilma shouldn't have received a paycheck last season if it were up to me. I don't know why any team in the NFL would consider him at this point in his career. That said, I would absolutely love it if he was signed by the falcons in some unparalleled universe and ended up starting.
edit: didn't read the thread, apparently I'm not the only crazy person that would love for this to happen

The guy really is done.
He can't perform up to NFL standards anymore.

I knew cutting all these vets was going to bite us in the arse!

Yeah I was reading a bit of that last night.
"No, I don't want no swamp rats!"

frick that. Roll with what we've got.

You'd be much better off honestly.

Yep. Not taking anything away from Vilma's career, but what we've got currently is better. Let them take their lumps.

The mind is able, but the body isn't willing anymore.

So he and Joe Horn have the same agent?

It was sarcasm you down voting a-holes

No kidding. Part of my Atlanta Falcon-dom died the day they signed Joe Horn. More of it will die if they go and sign Vilma.
Please. Don't.
