UPDATE:So who fills Chris Carr's roster spot? DB Eric Frampton.

Graham has obviously taken Hartley's roster spot, but why was Carr waived?

Seriously though? Why did we free another roster spot? I'm hoping its so Khiry can be active every game, bc apparently Cadet is the only KR we can have.

Well it obviously has to be a Corner right?
I understand Ryan's defensive schemes allow all our defensive backs to play all over the secondary, but we would now be an injury away from having no depth at corner.

At first I was thinking that it might be a spot for a lineman from the practice squad to move up to the active roster (Marcel Jones? that Kelemente guy?), without cutting Charles Brown loose outright or making him inactive. Carr has been a back and forth guy, cut a couple of times before, hasn't he? Having a backup lineman in that spot, maybe they could keep trying with Brown, but plug in a practice squad guy and/or switch Strief over, if things got ugly.
Or maybe Payton just got the fever, and felt like cutting someone else after Hartley, to feel like he was doing something?

They may be looking at vet LT's. Jared Gaither and Jammal Brown have played at a fairly high level in the not too distant past.
