It's hilarious that people still get in fights over 3 vs 4 man fronts when the real argument is are we an odd front that two-gaps or an even front that one-gaps.

That's the only thing that matters, and it would be awesome if people would start to realize this.

In that order.

Anyone who does not Shelton is crazy. Dude is an impact starter fro day one and sure thing. The other two guys are nice but Shelton is the real deal. Gregory after that.

Shelton is overrated. He beat up on lightweights in the PAC-10. He is not as athletic as Ngata, Poe or Wilfork. He does not have the explosion/quickness to be an NFL pass rusher. More likely to be a two down run stopper. Gregory is a much better prospect from a football perspective.

Thats all the proof I need to know he's off the weed

If forced between those three I would pic Gregory.

I knew I could count on you to bring a scientific evaluation of the Gregory situation to the forefront.

That's true and Ryan has done both. He seems to run two gap more from what I've seen. People just seem to obsess with the traditional base defenses a bit much. Those things are very outdated in today's NFL(unless you have multiple LBs who can cover very well).

A defensive line of Akiem Hicks, Danny Shelton, Cam Jordan with John Jenkins and Broderick Bunkley rotating in is giving me a chubby.

I would like to see a trade back a few spots but if the saints stay an pick at 13th an the three players listed are on the board then they should pick Danny Shelton as like Jim Finks used to say the big fast man is the most rare body type so if you go big man in the first Rd picks so with the 31st i would pick the big man from LSU who can play guard or right tackle.

Shelton looks to have alot of bad weight and had some mediocre competition. Just as big of a risk as Gregory to me.
