I personally wouldn't mind giving up an LSU championship to see the saints dominate a season.

I am a much more hardcore Saints fan. I'd rather see the Saints win the Superbowl any year over a BCS championship for LSU.

I've actually said to friends that I would rather the Saints win 1 Superbowl than LSU win 5 BCSNCs in a row. That is an obvious overstatement, but just to see the Saints win one would mean I could die a happy man. I do actually think I would trade 1 SB for 2 NCs.

I would give up the national championship for the Saints to just GO to the Superbowl.

I've also said this exact statement to friends (none of whom were big saints fans) and they jumped all over me for it.

I don't think ppl understand just how big of a deal it would be in NOLA (and south LA in general) if we won a SB.

I am a bigger LSU fan than a Saints fan. But I would gladly give up either the '03 or '07 BCS title for a SB.

Was a Saints fan before I was an LSU fan growing up in New Olreans. Started with Bum.

However, outside of a few good years from Mora, Haslett (1st year) and Payton (1st year), the Saints have far too infrequently made the fall season rewarding.

LSU, on the other hand, has consistently been exciting (outside of Hallman's years and the last part of the Dinardo years), especially the Saban and Miles years/championships/bowl wins.

LSU deserves each and every championship they get. They earned it cuz they consistently give back on the field. I would never take one away just to give the Saints a trophy, especially after Benson almost bolted for S.A.

Saints fans, on the other hand, deserve about 42 SB trophies for their long-suffering. The Bensons? Bah-humbug.

GTFO with that Benson nonsense. If he wanted to leave then he would have left. He had every opportunity to bail.

Saying Benson almost left is like saying Miles almost left for Michigan.

And your comparison is not fair. Anything short of the Superbowl in the NFL is considered a failure, whereas in College Ball there are many teams that can win a bowl game.

LSU is a powerhouse and can get big time recruits. That's why you think they "give back" on the field. The Saints are a smaller market team and struggle landing big time free agents. And FWIW I have seen many more Saints players "give back" to the community than LSU players...

I would love to see the Saints win the superbowl, but in reality LSU would probably win another one before the Saints do.

I'd rather not go to the Super Bowl at all than go and lose.

Considering that I am not an LSU fan, this is an easy question to answer.

Now, a tougher question is Saints SB vs. Tulane national championship...

Yes, because the MNC game is in early January and the Super Bowl is in February.

I would trade 5 straight Saint superbowl victories in exchange for another LSU national championship.
