I know we're 5-0, but in the long run (esp. in the playoffs) do you think it'll eventually bites us. I know SP was putting emphasis to get it better this year but hasn't gotten on track.

It needs to get better by the playoffs, no doubt.

That's why I'm glad they keep trying during games even though it pisses some rant-tards off. Actually, it served its purpose today just enough.

It's all good. Ingram's toe should be healed by the playoffs.

Indoors or under good weather conditions the passing game clicks for us so not so worried there, but if we should have to travel in the playoffs (esp North) this could be a big problem.

ETA Sproles has been a bright spot.

At an agonizing pace, but, yeah, I agree.

Agreed. Though we lost a good 20 yards off RBs slipping and falling

Gotta be Ingram's fault right?

Our run blocking sucks.

Hard to evaluate today as the field was shitty, but I thin it's improving albeit incrementally

You know, if you ignore the tackles in the backfield, we're looking pretty competent.

I thought the running game was quite effective today. Big improvement over previous weeks. Lots of positive plays keeping 2nd and 3rd and intermediate/short.

I'm confident that we're going to unleash our running game next week in Foxboro. count on it.

Well it IS Ingram 's fault that he drops like he has been sniped from the slightest contact whether that is in the backfield, at the line, or even the open field. I could care less about college affiliation but the dude isn't a burner AND runs soft.

True dat.... It is what it is....the saints are not going to make wholesale changes on the offensive line unless an injury occurs.... Just have to live with it!...

Our defense has made the lack of a running game not hurt so much.

In other words, defense getting 3 and outs helps with our time of possession. Which usually comes from a running game.

But I will say, we can't continue like that forever, we will have to develop a run game as the season goes on. One dimension won't work with stout defenses.

STFU Gump. The same line blocks for every back in the offense, yet Ingram still is out shined by all the other backs.

"Oh he just needs more carries...oh, he is just being used wrong"

Just shut up
