Does the author provide stats for how much the Pats fumbled relative to anyone else anywhere in the article?

Actually, it's generally accepted both ways now. I usually differ to how it's being used in my reports

It was said they fumbled far less than any other team in the league, whereas before they hovered around league average.

So either they discovered some mystical way to hold the ball to avoid fumbles that no other person on earth has figured out or they have been cheating using under inflated balls since 2007.

They also need to look at their percentage of dropped passes. I saw some research done into it in the lead up to the Super Bowl and the rate at which Brady's receivers and tight ends dropped passes over that stretch was far far far and away the lowest in the NFL.
