we all knew we had a weakness at CB other than Lewis, so we signed an extraordinarily expensive FS, a 36-year old fading star and hoped for the best with an extremely inconsistent ex-1st rounder with a confidence problem who's also coming off an injury. oh and we drafted a guy in the 2nd round who has barely played the position and has UDFAs playing ahead of him unless he's the VERY last person able to play at the position.

we drafted a small, speedy WR who seems to have trouble getting open and may not have a single YAC this season.

we added nothing at LB where the entire league knows we have a weakness.

this team continues to age at key spots with no talent being added to known weaknesses.

Bailey couldn't hack it, leading us to lean on Robinson who can't hack it, leading us to lean on White who can't hack it so Dixon plays and he can't hack it and SJB can't hack it either.

Cooks isn't the problem. Apparently Payton thought all this guy can do is catch bubble screens. Once that wasn't working, they basically stopped doing anything with him.

He has great speed, but is never used on deep routes. He has great hands. He has shown he will go up and fight for balls, and multiple times has caught balls with defenders on his back. This is on Drew and Payton, not Cooks.

Can't get open deep. Don't have enough arse on him. Gets knocked off routes when he goes deep by bigger DBS. Should took Benjamin.

How many WRs cooks size have been legit deep threads in nfl in last 10-15 years? Desean jackson / Santana moss? Who else. Odds are he'll never be a big time deep threat.

and he's not getting any YAC.

he's been a homeless, syphilis ridden man's Lance Moore at this point.

Yup. Doesn't Look like he possess nfl game breaking ahleticism. Doesn't look to be a guy who can take a screen pass and make 2 guys miss and take it to the house.

The blocking was horrible on his screen plays. He was getting hit immediately every time. Payton isn't using him right. Can't believe people already decided he can't play.

What are you talking about? They haven't even been using him like a Lance Moore. That makes no sense.

Maybe you should go back and read what Boom and yourself said. Pretty clear you guys think he isn't very good.

Looked like a star in his first game, then Payton mainly used him on screens that were poorly executed. Apparently that equals a homeless man's Lance Moore.

all Moore did was catch short passes and fall down or get out of bounds. Cooks was averaging 8 ypc before today and i think he only had 2 catches for 23 yds today.

Since the first half of the ATL he hasn't done squat. ATL clearly showed him no repeact in the first half of that game. Once they realized he may be able to make plays out there he has been basically shut out for 5.5 games.
