This is a show that just aired on U-Verse channel 1630. It is highlighting vicious hits made by what they call the best players to play the game. Jack Lambert, Ronnie Lott, Ray Lewis and Lawrence Taylor just to name a few. Most of their hits would be illegal by today's standards. Most of these hits put players out of the game and most were helmet to helmet. Yet these players are constantly referred to as the best hitters and defensive players in the history of professional football.

Boy, have times changed. There was a day when concussions and injuries by hard hitting, aggressive defensive players were just considered a part of the game. Is "God"dell changing the NFL culture for better or for worse? Bounty or no bounty, I haven't seen the Saints make the hits that these guys have made over the past 40 years with the exception of the legal hit on Kurt Warner.

The real "low blow" is the cheap shot the NFL has taken on the Saints. Every NFL team is guilty and prides themselves on knocking critical players out of games. The difference is that we now have a commissioner with too much power who is not answerable to anyone under the present system.

I know this has been discussed ad nauseum but this show only emphasizes the damage Goodell is doing to the game of football on a historic level let alone to one team. What makes me sicker is that these top 10 players are all Hall of Famers under a different set of rules and under a different commissioner.
