It hurts to watch, and it hurts to say, but they're really really good. I wish we had Julio Jones. Still optimistic we can turn it around but not sure the Falcons will fall apart like they usually do.

Well, at least when they get to the playoffs their inevitable collapse will be fun to watch.

They were what, 6-0 to start last year? We were saying the same thing then, only they seemed to get really lucky each game. Doesn't look like all that much luck this year unfortunately. Matt Ryan still likes dudes though.

Didn't everyone say they were the "Real Deal" last season through 5 games....

They took the plunge and got rid of a coach that could have probably gotten them to the playoffs, and then very little else. The gamble has paid off for them, and their new coach has brought a tougher attitude to this team.

They have also drafted well and made some decent free agency signings recently.

It sucks watching them be good while we struggle to figure it out.

They look like they'll have a great season, but no way would I pick them to come out of the NFC.

Atlanta may very well be the best of the NFC South (which may not be saying much), but that defense has given up 140 points this season. The other top NFC teams: Minn, Sea., Dal., Philly, GB, haven't given up anywhere close to that amount.

Atl. probably wins the division, but except for the Broncos, they've played some struggling defenses.

No one was predicting the Falcons to win more than 8-9 games TOPS so I'll take this season so far. Are we favorites to win the S.B.? No, but were we predicted to go 4-1 through these first 5 games? No.

This season has already surpassed expectations.

The difference between last years Falcons and this years are so blatant to anyone but copping Saints fans. There won't be a fall off like last year. I'm not saying they will win the SB, I would pick the Vikings to come out of the NFC right now, but they are so different than last years team.

It's still early, though.

I think the emergence of Coleman has been a massive difference for them. He helps out the passing game greatly.

Wait....did you see how bad Drew torched them without Willie Snead? That defense sucks. Very curious to see how our game in ATL goes down when we aren't missing 7 key starters. We were missing our MOST important players besides Drew

I had you guys at 3-2 honestly. I thought two losses would be to Denver and us.

Very. The game against SEA should be interesting but let's be real. Who the hell woulda thought ATL would even be competing against these teams? Look at the away-ness of that schedule too.
-@OAK - pretty easy W for ATL
-@NO - pretty easy W for ATL
-CAR - easy W for ATL
-@DEN - pretty easy W for ATL
-@SEA - ??

Coleman and our Oline. Alex Mack appears to have been a Godsend. Y'all may not remember how many fumbles there were on snapped balls last year for ATL. I remember a solid 5-6 of them.
Snapped balls. To. The. QB.

Sure. No Falcons fan is saying that ATL defense is the 85 Bears. But it's gotten better week to week. Now we get Collins back at DB along with Keanu Neal back at Safety, both are basically rookies. Along with the way Deion Jones is playing (and didn't even play in the DEN game due to injury), this Defense is on the upswing for sure.

Also, saying "Drew Brees torched a Defense" is like saying today is Tuesday. It sort of just happens especially cause he's good and y'all throw the ball 50+ a game.

Failclowns do have some young D talent, for all of which the jury is still out. If you're gonna play the injury card the Saints were missing half their defense in that game. Don't be surprised if you see black and gold in your rear view sooner rather than later

Hey, I've been saying for 2-3 weeks that NO is better than their record. Y'all could very well end up #2 in the division. I just want ATL to be #1 in Div.
