Then you have to re-sign him, which is the issue

3rd isn't issue, it's 3rd plus whatever he's seeking in his next deal. He's an UFA in 9 games.

Which would you take?

Saints 3rd or Browns 3rd?

They would take the Saints 3rd as it would be a higher pick than the compensation pick

Guess this means the Pat's are going to resign Jabaal Sheard.

Can you imagine being traded from the Pats to the Browns?

Going from the absolute best organization in sports to the absolute worst?

What a kick in the balls.

WTF do you mean?
Did Loomis try?
Did we not offer as much?
Did Collins say he didn't want to go to NOLA? Or his wife?
Tell us whats going on behind the curtain cause it sounds like it could be interesting.

With Jamie Collins contract coming up, he was at one point asking for what one league source described as “Von Miller money." Von: 6-$114.5M

I am still confident we draft Jamie Collins in RD2 in 2013 if not for our vacated pick from the bounty scandal

I believe they just changed this. Not 100% sure though.

It is apparent this trade was made because Collins will be a UFA at the end of this season and has been asking for "Von Miller money".. which in case you forgot was 6 years 114.5 million

The Browns paid a 3rd round pick for an 8 game rental when they are 0-8. Slightly smart move because they will be able to see if he fits their standards before giving him a big contract, rather than doing so in FA. That same possibility would not be in the cards for the Saints. No way we would give a LB that kind of money, especially when we play primarily 4 man fronts.
