Like Drew Brees wouldn't be able to hang in an NFL game circa 1975.

He def. could play then, see Tarkenton, but breaking that record would probably not be possible. Unitas was a big SOB, I don't know how many hits Brees could take from Deacon/Butkus/Tatum/Nobis/Huff/Nitschke et al... I realize they all didn't play at the same time but Unitas and Bradshaw (who had no shot at the record) played in an era of some tough SOBs with different rules. Brees would be lucky to make 2 full seasons w/o being injured.

I'm all for getting a time machine and seeing. But put guys like Anthony Muñoz and Willie Roaf on the line. Hell, put the best of the best on two teams.

But, put Brees as qb and Payton as playcaller on one and on the other team have Bradshaw as QB with his pick of coach and give each team a week to prepare.

who would you bet on?

You right, Bradshaw is a clown. He already looks the part with his hairdo and all. All he needs to do is paint his nose red and wear larger shoes!

I would bet on Brees of course. Bradshaw couldn't throw his way out of a paper bag. If not for HOF receivers Swann and (I forget the other guys name)! Anyways, he would be worthlesss if not for those guys making his average skills arse look good! Bradshaw wasn't shite in his day!

He had a better arm than Brees w/o a doubt.

Stallworth, and yes to have TWO Hall of Fame rcvrs on the same team makes life easy. Can't say the same for the rcvrs Brees has. With the exception of Graham Brees is playing w/ virtual 'nobodies'.

Staubach may argue that w/ you but I doubt anyone else would, he has 4 Super Bowl RINGS !!! He came thru in the clutch in those big games.

If you heard the actual radio interview, you'd know he wasn't "ripping" Brees. Y'all are unreal.

I'm sure all of these quotes were just "taken out of context"

I agree with Bradshaw and have been a saints fan for over 30 years. Drew, though nice and a good player would never have survived one or two seasons at most during Johny U's time. That's a fact jack

That dude has always been butt hurt because LSU told him to get lost when he was in college. I liked the Steelers of the 70's with "Mean Joe" Green and Jack Lambert, but Bradshaw has always been a tool. I wouldn't be suprised if he was a little bitch when he played and was hard to play along side. Anybody got any stories of guys he played with and what kind of teammate he was?
